Three Categories and One Label foods become the top choice for many consumers
Qingyang apples, Jingyuan goji berries, organic rice from Shanghai, Kunlun snow crabs raised on Kunlun snow mountain water, Baisha green tea grown in a crater in Hainan…… At the 15th China Green Food Expo held in Shanghai, as many as a thousand products including grain, oil, fruit, vegetables, tea, livestock, poultry, eggs, milk and aquatic products from 33 exhibition delegations from 30 provinces (regions, municipalities) across the country won the favor of buyers and ordinary consumers.
“I come from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, please bring health home.” At the 15th China Green Food Expo held at the Shanghai Agricultural Exhibition Hall, the exhibition hall of the Qinghai delegation in a prominent position was especially lively, with buyers and citizens coming one after another to taste yak yogurt, salmon, goji berries and other products, and purchasing green foods from the clean plateau one after another.“Since the exhibited products are all agricultural products that have obtained green food, organic food, pollution-free agricultural products and geographical indication certification. The exhibited products are favored by citizens, the yogurt from Qinghai was almost sold out within half an hour, and the beef and mutton spine bone meat priced at 20 yuan/jin was snapped up.” introduced E Yongli, director of the Green Food Office of Qinghai Province.
During the period when the exhibition was open to ordinary consumers, the scene was even more grand, with an endless stream of people coming to the hall to purchase goods, and some consumers from Jiangsu and Zhejiang made special trips to the expo to purchase goods. Many green food offices and exhibiting enterprises reported that they had not anticipated the vigorous consumer demand and high purchasing enthusiasm of Shanghai citizens for green food.
According to statistics from the organizing committee, the total transaction volume of this Green Expo was 1.798 billion yuan, and the intended amount was 2.51 billion yuan, an increase of 30.3% and 35.7% respectively compared with the previous Green Expo.
Chen Zhaoyun, deputy director of the China Green Food Development Center, said that the Green Expo concentratedly displayed the level, quality and efficiency of the development of the national green food industry in recent years, and prominently displayed the overall image of the green food brand. Judging from the on-site consumer purchasing situation, current consumers relatively recognize the “Three Categories and One Label”, and many people said they would take green food and organic food as their first choice for daily food consumption.
