December 8, 2014 "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with last week

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 8 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 201.69, up 0.32 points from last Friday, among which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 202.81, up 0.26 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 19.26 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.34), up 0.5% from last Friday;

Beef 54.13 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from last Friday;

Mutton 53.90 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from last Friday;

Eggs 9.99 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken 15.05 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.76 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 195.03), up 1.6% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.38 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.90 yuan/kg, up 1.2% from last Friday;

Common carp 11.89 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from last Friday;

Silver carp 6.93 yuan/kg, down 1.6% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail 27.42 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products under key monitoring in domestic wholesale markets, compared with last Friday, the top five price increases were: eggplant, zucchini, oyster mushroom, bok choy and Chinese chives, with increases of 7.6%, 6.8%, 5.3%, 5.0% and 4.8% respectively; the top five price decreases were: lettuce, ginger, bighead carp, silver carp and watermelon, with decreases of 2.5%, 2.2%, 1.6%, 1.6% and 1.6% respectively.
