December 10, 2014 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Changes

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 10 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 202.25, up 0.33 points from yesterday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables” Products Wholesale Price Index was 203.53, up 0.49 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 19.26 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.35), up 0.3% from yesterday;

Beef 54.37 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 54.24 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 10.02 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.01 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.77 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 195.95), unchanged from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 5.35 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.92 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.90 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.85 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.45 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: rapeseed, zucchini, Kyoho grapes, Chinese chives and tomatoes, with increases of 3.3%, 3.1%, 3.1%, 2.3% and 1.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: ginger, pumpkin, garlic, pineapple and Ya pears, with decreases of 3.6%, 2.9%, 2.5%, 2.4% and 1.8% respectively.
