National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index rises and falls on December 12, 2014

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 12 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 203.43, up 0.50 points from yesterday, among which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 205.11, up 0.87 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural products wholesale market was 19.21 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.26), down 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.49 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday;

Mutton 54.23 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Eggs 10.06 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.00 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.78 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 199.99), down 0.5% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.32 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.85 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.94 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.03 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.87 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties at domestic fresh and live agricultural products wholesale markets under key monitoring, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: tangerines, celery, pumpkin, winter melon and cauliflower, with margins of 4.3%, 3.3%, 2.4%, 2.4% and 1.8% respectively; the top five price decreases were: green beans, celtuce, ginger, Chinese cabbage and lettuce, with margins of 3.3%, 2.6%, 2.5%, 2.2% and 2.2% respectively.
