December 17, 2014 "National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 17 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 204.62, up 0.30 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 206.45, up 0.66 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural wholesale market was 19.06 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 169.13), up 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef 54.36 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Mutton 54.33 yuan/kg, basically unchanged from yesterday;

Eggs 10.04 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.95 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.86 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 205.80), up 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.40 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.50 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.72 yuan/kg, down 1.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.97 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.58 yuan/kg, down 1.9% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in the domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale market, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: pineapple, Kyoho grape, celery, oyster mushroom and garlic, with margins of 3.8%, 2.7%, 2.6%, 2.5% and 2.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Ya pear, ginger, largehead hairtail, large yellow croaker and Fuji apple, with margins of 3.7%, 2.2%, 1.9%, 1.9% and 1.6% respectively.
