The 2014 National High-Level Forum on Animal Husbandry Development was held in Beijing

A few days ago, the Third Session of the Sixth Council of the China Animal Agriculture Association and the 2014 National High-Level Forum on Animal Husbandry Industry Development were held in Beijing, with more than 300 council members from all over the country gathering together to discuss the major plans for the development of the animal husbandry industry.

The meeting pointed out that currently, China's animal husbandry industry has reached a critical period of tackling difficulties and deepening reform, and it is necessary to further advance industrial transformation and upgrading, release the dividends of reform, accelerate the improvement of the institutional mechanisms for integrated urban-rural development, vigorously implement the "reinvigorating animal husbandry through science and education" project, and enable the broad masses of farmers and herders to participate equally in the process of modernizing animal husbandry and jointly share in the fruits of modernization. The animal husbandry association should seize the development opportunity, strengthen the concept of serving members, the industry, the government, and society, and better play the role of an industry association.
