December 24, 2014 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Month-on-Month

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 24 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 208.66, up 0.16 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 211.33, up 0.30 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural products wholesale market was 19.23 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 168.61), up 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef 54.74 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Mutton 53.81 yuan/kg, basically flat compared with yesterday;

Eggs 9.81 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.07 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.99 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 215.25), unchanged from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.48 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.84 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.96 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.98 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from yesterday;

Large hairtail 27.26 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties in the key monitoring of the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: green peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, onions and oranges, with increases of 2.7%, 2.4%, 2.3%, 1.8% and 1.7% respectively; the top five price decreases were: pineapple, Kyoho grapes, zucchini, spinach and shiitake mushrooms, with decreases of 3.0%, 2.6%, 1.9%, 1.7% and 1.0% respectively.
