The epidemic of livestock schistosomiasis nationwide has continued to decline, with the positive rate falling from 4.5% in 2004 to 0.37% in 2013. The epidemic has dropped to the lowest level in history, and livestock sources of infection have been effectively controlled. The comprehensive management of agricultural schistosomiasis prevention and control has advanced in an orderly manner, the working mechanism has gradually improved, economic and ecological benefits have become increasingly prominent, and agricultural schistosomiasis prevention and control work has achieved remarkable results.
