China's agricultural science and technology progress contribution rate reaches 55.6%
The reporter learned from the National Agricultural Work Conference held a few days ago: the national science and technology innovation collaboration platform——the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance was established in Beijing. This is an important measure for China to achieve innovation-driven agricultural development and deepen the reform of the agricultural science and technology system. It will inject innovative vitality into accelerating agricultural science and technology progress and provide strong support for advancing agricultural modernization. Since 2014, China has vigorously promoted the reform of the agricultural scientific research system and achieved a number of major scientific and technological achievements, with the contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress expected to reach 55.6%.
Minister of Agriculture Han Changfu said at the founding conference that China is in a critical period of accelerating agricultural modernization. Stabilizing grain production and increasing income, adjusting the structure, improving quality and efficiency, and transforming the development mode have put forward newer, higher and more urgent requirements for agricultural science and technology innovation. Building the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance will fully pool national agricultural scientific research forces through institutional innovation and focus on improving the efficiency of agricultural science and technology innovation.
⟦NL> According to reports, the National Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance is a national science and technology innovation collaboration platform jointly participated in by national, provincial and prefecture-level agricultural (animal husbandry) and agricultural reclamation academies of sciences, and is the main force of China's agricultural science and technology innovation.
The alliance will focus on making great efforts in playing a coordinated game, providing end-to-end support, and pursuing integration. It will build a new pattern of agricultural scientific research work featuring division of labor and collaboration as a “coordinated game,” making the alliance a core platform for national agricultural scientific research joint tackling of key problems; create an end-to-end agricultural scientific research organization model covering the upper, middle and lower reaches, making the alliance a backbone network for national agricultural science and technology innovation; and build an integrated agricultural science and technology comprehensive solution with multidisciplinary integration, making the alliance an important force supporting the development of modern agriculture.
