December 31, 2014 "National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 31 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 207.26, down 0.20 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 209.34, down 0.47 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 18.94 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 167.87), down 0.9% from yesterday;

Beef 54.52 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 53.77 yuan/kg, basically flat compared with yesterday;

Eggs 9.55 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.07 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.94 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 213.98), down 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 5.45 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.75 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.95 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.04 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.54 yuan/kg, flat compared with yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: rapeseed (yu choy), pineapple, watermelon, lettuce and celtuce, with increases of 3.2%, 2.6%, 2.4%, 2.4% and 2.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cabbage, Kyoho grapes, tangerines, Chinese cabbage and pumpkin, with decreases of 2.9%, 2.9%, 2.8%, 2.2% and 2.2% respectively.
