Fluctuations of the National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index on January 6, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on January 6 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 207.35, down 0.62 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 209.56, down 0.77 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural wholesale market was 18.78 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 167.80), up 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.43 yuan/kg, basically unchanged from yesterday;

Mutton 53.16 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Eggs 9.34 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.16 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.98 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 218.63), down 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.45 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.81 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.90 yuan/kg, up 1.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.18 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.54 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: green peppers, Chinese cabbage, cabbage, carrots and eggplant, with increases of 2.8%, 2.2%, 2.2%, 1.8% and 1.7% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Chinese chives, oyster mushrooms, Kyoho grapes, zucchini and cauliflower, with decreases of 3.2%, 2.7%, 1.9%, 1.9% and 1.3% respectively.
