According to the National Development and Reform Commission, starting from 2015 the state liberalized the purchase price of tobacco leaves. Since the tobacco leaf purchase price was the last variety in the agricultural product sector subject to government pricing, this move marks that all agricultural product prices in China will be formed by the market, and government pricing has completely exited the stage of history.
