Changes in the National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on January 14, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on January 14 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 204.48, down 0.21 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 205.94, down 0.58 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale markets for agricultural products nationwide was 18.67 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 166.96), down 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef 54.35 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Mutton 53.48 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday;

Eggs 9.13 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.09 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.95 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 213.41), up 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.68 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.69 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.82 yuan/kg, up 1.0% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.14 yuan/kg, up 1.0% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.54 yuan/kg, up 1.0% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products under key monitoring at wholesale markets nationwide, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: green peppers, Ya pears, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms and rapeseed greens, with increases of 2.7%, 2.1%, 1.3%, 1.2% and 1.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Welsh onions, cauliflower, ginger, crucian carp and dressed chicken, with decreases of 2.1%, 1.5%, 1.0%, 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.
