The relationship between watering and air temperature and soil temperature

I have always loved flowers and plants. I have read many magazines about plants before, and I once saw in a book on agricultural meteorology how soil temperature and air temperature change over the course of a day. I am writing this for fellow orchid growers to read, and I do not know whether it will be helpful. Every day, starting from early morning, the air temperature rises, and the rise in air temperature is faster than the rise in soil temperature. Among the air temperatures, the temperature of the leaves is the highest for the whole plant, and physiological activity and physiological signals are strongest, with the roots and stems both supporting this. Generally, around two o'clock in the afternoon, the air temperature and soil temperature reach a high equilibrium point. After two o'clock, the air temperature drops faster than the soil temperature, and the roots in the soil gradually become stronger in physiological activity than the stems and leaves. Finally, generally late at night or in the early morning, another low-temperature equilibrium point is reached. When watering in summer, in order not to disrupt that balance, some orchid growers like to water at that low equilibrium point. Obviously, plants adapt to that kind of natural temperature change. The gradual, cyclical changes of soil temperature and air temperature may be an important driving force for the plant's internal physiological cycle and growth. Therefore, I think that when orchid growers regulate the various factors of the orchid-growing environment, it is best to let nature regulate them. When regulating artificially, it is essential to understand how nature regulates, and one can only assist it, not go against it. Be hot when it should be hot, and cold when it should be cold. Every time, when watering, ventilating, and spraying water, consider whether it will break the balance of natural growth
