February 4, 2015 National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index Month-on-Month Change

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on February 4 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 207.64, down 0.14 points from yesterday, among which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 209.94, down 0.16 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 18.40 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 165.28), down 0.6% from yesterday;

Beef 54.51 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Mutton 52.30 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Eggs 9.12 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.09 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.16 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 221.78), down 0.7% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.98 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.57 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.92 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.12 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.92 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: pumpkin, eggplant, Kyoho grape, watermelon and tomato, with increases of 2.9%, 1.8%, 1.8%, 1.2% and 0.9% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cabbage, celery, Ya pear, cauliflower and ginger, with decreases of 4.3%, 4.1%, 3.8%, 3.4% and 3.0% respectively.
