National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index, week-on-week change, February 9, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on February 9 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 208.27, up 0.09 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 18.16 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 163.13), down 0.2% from last Friday;

Beef 54.44 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from last Friday;

Mutton 52.88 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from last Friday;

Eggs 9.14 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken 15.14 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.24 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 223.24), up 0.7% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.02 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.65 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from last Friday;

Common carp 11.96 yuan/kg, up 2.8% from last Friday;

Silver carp 7.20 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail 27.92 yuan/kg, unchanged from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with last Friday the top five price increases were: pumpkin, cauliflower, common carp, pineapple and grass carp, up 5.9%, 3.5%, 2.8%, 2.6% and 2.6% respectively; the top five price decreases were: ginger, zucchini, watermelon, bighead carp and onion, down 1.7%, 1.0%, 1.0%, 0.7% and 0.6% respectively.
