Recently, the financial think tank themed symposium on "the collision and transformation of 'Internet Plus agriculture' -- e-commerce platforms restructuring the agricultural industry chain to boost the integration of the three industries" was held in Beijing. Participating committee members said that since "Internet Plus" was elevated to a national strategy, agriculture, the most basic industry, has also stood at the forefront of the Internet; at a time when China's economy faces downward pressure, the deep integration of the most modern Internet with the most traditional agriculture will inevitably burst forth with infinite vitality and vigor, which will not only help bring the fruits of Internet development to more than 1.3 billion Chinese people, but also help improve the quality and efficiency of agricultural development.

Participating committee members believed that e-commerce's transformation of the agricultural industry is not merely at the marketing level, but will also restructure the agricultural industry chain and boost the integration of the three industries. Some committee members proposed that China's agriculture has already entered the 3.0 era characterized mainly by the Internet and modern science and technology, with microelectronics and software widely applied in the agricultural field, achieving programmatic and Internet participation in many aspects such as agricultural input circulation, breeding and seedling cultivation, plant planting management, soil and environmental management, and agricultural technical services. "Transforming the agricultural development model, raising the land output rate, promoting agriculture's march toward industrialization, and gradually realizing the industrialization, industrialization and modernization of agriculture, combining smart agriculture with scientific management systems, and enabling multiple information technologies to be comprehensively and fully applied in the agricultural field and production links, is our inevitable choice for changing the trajectory of China's agricultural development." Some committee members suggested that building a high-starting-point, high-standard agricultural informatization application model can let "Internet Plus agriculture" add new momentum to modern agricultural development.
