Recommending my fertilizing method to fellow orchid growers

Store the soybean residue you grind yourself (such as the residue left after grinding with a Joyoung soy milk maker) in a plastic bucket and ferment it for more than a year (the longer the better; be careful not to seal the lid tightly so gas can escape), then take the clear upper portion (like translucent strong tea). Each time, dilute it 2000-3000 times and use it as water for watering; during the vigorous growth period of orchids, dilute it 1000-2000 times. One 5-liter bucket of fermented fertilizer can be used for several years. Some people say it is not easy to fertilize orchids during their winter dormant period, but in my practice I have found that when this fertilizer is diluted 2000 times and used to water the flowers in winter, the flower stems grow taller, the flowers are stronger, and the fragrance is more intense! I have only tested this with hard potting media, watering once every two to three weeks in winter (throughout the year, whenever I water, I always use this water). In other seasons, water whenever the medium looks dry, with no additional fertilizing. Note: with this method, moisture retention in the pot will be better, so the interval between waterings can be appropriately extended.

The following is a Song Mei orchid I grew using this method; this year it bloomed with double flowers, and the flower stem is 13 cm tall. No scorched leaf tips were seen on the whole plant.
