March 18, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Compared with Yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on March 18 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 204.52, down 0.36 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 206.23, down 0.40 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 17.44 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 155.96), down 0.9% from yesterday;

Beef 54.18 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton 52.82 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Eggs 8.18 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.30 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.98 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 214.62), down 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.18 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.80 yuan/kg, up 1.2% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.63 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.15 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.76 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: cabbage, Chinese cabbage, carrot, lotus root and banana, with increases of 3.1%, 2.7%, 2.6%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Kyoho grape, celtuce, spinach, oyster mushroom and cowpea, with decreases of 5.7%, 3.5%, 3.3%, 3.1% and 2.6% respectively.
