Total number of green food products nationwide exceeds 21,000

As of the end of 2014, the total number of green food enterprises nationwide reached 8,700, with more than 21,000 products in total.

It is understood that pollution-free agricultural products, green food, organic agricultural products and agricultural product geographical indications are collectively known as “Three Products and One Label”. “Three Products and One Label” is a national safe and high-quality agricultural product public brand developed in different stages of development in our country, targeting specific situations and based on respective priorities.

According to statistics, as of the end of 2014, nearly 80,000 pollution-free agricultural products were certified nationwide, involving 33,000 applicant entities; the total number of green food enterprises reached 8,700, with more than 21,000 products in total; 814 organic food enterprises were certified by the agricultural system, with more than 3,300 products; 1,588 agricultural product geographical indication products were registered and protected. In 2014, the overall pass rate of spot checks for pollution-free agricultural products was 99.2%; the pass rate of spot checks for green food products was 99.5%; the pass rate of spot checks for organic food was 98.4%; the pass rate of key monitoring of pesticide residues and heavy metal pollution for geographical indication agricultural products remained at 100% for 6 consecutive years.

In future work, it is necessary to grasp the key points and further enhance brand influence; fulfill duties and further implement regulatory responsibilities; improve systems and further strengthen the concept of the rule of law. It is also necessary to act proactively and fully leverage the important role of the “Three Products and One Label” team in agricultural product quality and safety work.
