Shao Zhengjia, from the "Walking Kitchen" production team. After winning 2nd prize in the Zhejiang Province Entrepreneurship and Wealth Creation Competition last October, many people in China came to know this entrepreneurial team fighting on the front lines of the Internet for agriculture. They use Internet thinking to manage more than 10 large and medium-sized agricultural bases, flower bases, fishing farms and so on in Hangzhou, helping farmers open up the Internet market, and facing users with authentic products, prices lower than the market, and an ultimate interactive experience. The offline revenue of these farms adds up to more than 100 million each year. They hope to use this model to operate 100 places of origin in the coming year. Here Shao Zhengjia shares his entrepreneurial experience.

Discover mistakes as early as possible

Shao Zhengjia is a very lucky person. Before the project was launched, they discovered that fresh produce was a false demand. Apart from the huge cost of building logistics warehouses, the product itself could not generate profit, and instead could drag the team down because of unstable volume. Moreover, a single farm, no matter how big you make it, cannot satisfy the daily vegetable purchasing needs of a community of a thousand people. Specifically, when many people go to buy vegetables, they are certainly imagining a dish made by combining several ingredients, and they will not buy carrots simply because your carrots are good. Users' needs are diverse, but you may not be able to provide a sufficient quantity.

There are many agriculture-related websites in China. In fact, there have recently been many service-oriented O2O models. These websites cooperate with local vegetable markets and supermarkets to achieve the extreme goal of one-hour home delivery. They have considered this, but they cannot do it, and there is no profit either, so they started searching from the source, and finally went directly to the production bases.

Try more at low cost

From initially helping one farm build an Internet brand to today's goal of bringing in 100 agricultural bases, the model has been changing all along. The only thing that has not changed is that it is related to food and the Internet. To be precise, he also cannot clearly explain why the project has undergone such a big change. He believes this is also something everyone encounters in entrepreneurial projects, and it involves "business models, false demand, user pain points, and so on."

Shao Zhengjia personally feels that when using Internet thinking to start a business and develop, the biggest advantage lies in being changeable. On the Internet, you can make your assets very light; when the boat is small, it is easy to turn around. On the other hand, being changeable is also the essence of Internet entrepreneurship. Looking back at many successful companies, how many projects are the same as they were originally designed?

Therefore, when starting a business, you must try more. Change happens because the enterprise is progressing, and it is for doing better. This is also a manifestation of the laws of nature.
