Changes in the National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on April 3, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on April 3 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 202.41, up 0.68 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 203.49, up 0.66 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at agricultural products wholesale markets nationwide was 17.46 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 157.90), down 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef 54.32 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton 52.33 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.78 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.90 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.79 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 204.44), down 0.5% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.07 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.34 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.94 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.84 yuan/kg, down 1.6% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.76 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products in the key monitoring of domestic wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: pineapple, cauliflower, oyster mushroom, onion, and Kyoho grape, with increases of 3.1%, 3.1%, 2.9%, 2.4% and 2.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Welsh onion, potato, yardlong bean, shiitake mushroom, and rapeseed, with decreases of 3.5%, 3.1%, 2.9%, 2.3% and 2.2% respectively.
