Modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials expected to be completed by 2020
This newspaper, Beijing, April 6 dispatch, reporter Li Yuyang reports: The General Office of the Ministry of Commerce recently issued the "Notice on Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a Modern Logistics System for Chinese Medicinal Materials," proposing that by 2020, an integrated modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials covering harvesting, origin processing, packaging, warehousing and transportation will be initially formed, basically meeting the logistics needs of specialized markets and e-commerce transactions for Chinese medicinal materials, and basically adapting to the requirements of the development of traditional Chinese medicine and the growing health needs of the people.
A relevant official from the Department of Market Order of the Ministry of Commerce introduced that at present, the logistics situation for Chinese medicinal materials in China is more backward than that for industrial consumer goods and other agricultural products, with problems such as the lack of standard specifications for packaging, warehousing and logistics being in a scattered state, a very low degree of intensification and scale, and little application of modern storage facilities and technologies, which have seriously affected the quality of Chinese medicinal materials and the sustained and healthy development of China's traditional Chinese medicine industry.
According to the introduction, in order to accelerate the construction of a modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials, the Ministry of Commerce has set five specific goals: First, basically establish a standards system for the logistics of Chinese medicinal materials. Second, basically complete logistics infrastructure and a circulation network with the main production and sales areas of Chinese medicinal materials as circulation nodes, and realize centralized warehousing of bulk Chinese medicinal materials as well as precious, fine, toxic, narcotic and restricted Chinese medicinal materials. Third, logistics informatization management technology and new maintenance technologies for Chinese medicinal materials are widely applied. Fourth, the circulation traceability system fully plays its role. Fifth, create a good market environment so that the comprehensive strength of large and medium-sized Chinese medicinal materials logistics enterprises is significantly enhanced.
The main tasks for building a modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials are six: First, build origin processing bases for Chinese medicinal materials. Realize intensive and large-scale processing, and gradually change traditional processing methods. Second, standardize the packaging of Chinese medicinal materials. Guide medicinal herb farmers and specialized cooperatives for Chinese medicinal materials to implement unified and standardized packaging, and effectively change the chaotic situation of packaging for Chinese medicinal materials. Third, build a centralized warehousing and distribution network. Encourage the construction of standardized and socialized warehousing bases for Chinese medicinal materials around major production areas of bulk Chinese medicinal materials and specialized markets for Chinese medicinal materials, as well as a nationwide, intensive and efficient warehousing and distribution system for Chinese medicinal materials. Fourth, promote the application of modern logistics management and technology. Improve the mechanization, informatization and specialization level of the logistics of Chinese medicinal materials. Fifth, improve the supporting logistics service functions of specialized markets for Chinese medicinal materials. Sixth, make warehousing and logistics enterprises for Chinese medicinal materials stronger and larger.
