April 8, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Month-on-Month Change

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on April 8 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 203.29, up 0.81 points from yesterday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables” Product Wholesale Price Index was 204.66, up 1.04 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 17.45 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 158.93), down 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.20 yuan/kg, basically flat compared with yesterday;

Mutton 52.23 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.63 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.01 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.01 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 214.02), up 2.0% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.10 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.76 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Common carp 13.07 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.07 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Large hairtail 27.74 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products at the domestic wholesale market under key monitoring, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: cabbage, cauliflower, rapeseed greens, Chinese cabbage and Kyoho grapes, with increases of 5.3%, 4.8%, 4.6%, 4.3% and 3.9% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Ya pears, tangerines, large yellow croaker, dressed chicken and watermelon, with decreases of 1.9%, 1.1%, 1.1%, 0.9% and 0.9% respectively.
