Internet Plus Elevates Rural Quality, Digitalization Makes Rural Areas Better
The Internet is penetrating into every aspect of social life. Once connected, things come alive. At present, the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture is carrying out systematic design and architecture based on cloud computing and big data to build the National Agricultural Science and Technology Service Cloud Platform. The cloud platform will first launch free "Smart Agriculture Cards" and activate Smart Agriculture Connect services for 3000 experts, 100,000 agricultural technicians, 1 million new professional farmers and 10 million radiating farmers, opening up the last meter of agricultural science and technology information services, realizing mobile interconnection, and providing farmers and various modern agricultural production and operation entities with precise, timely and full-process advisory science and technology services, comprehensively improving the household coverage rate and arrival rate of agricultural science and technology.
The National Agricultural Science and Technology Service Cloud Platform includes six special sub-platforms: comprehensive business of the science and education system, smart farmers, agricultural technology extension, scientific and technological innovation support, achievement transformation and trading, and beautiful countryside, as well as 16 core business systems including the national agricultural science, education, environment and energy comprehensive business management system, the smart farmer online training system, the grassroots agricultural technology extension comprehensive business system, the modern agricultural industrial technology system comprehensive business platform system, and the rural e-commerce and financial service innovation support system. There are five key contents: First, establish a national agricultural science, education, environment and energy system information scheduling platform. Second, establish a national agricultural science and education knowledge base and basic resource data warehouse. Third, build a series of special business platforms. Fourth, the agricultural technology extension comprehensive business platform. Fifth, plan and implement the Smart Agriculture Card project, relying on the agricultural science and education business system, combining various national agricultural projects, registering, filing and issuing cards to various new professional farmers, activating Smart Agriculture Connect services, establishing professional farmer groups based on factors such as region, production content and national agricultural technology extension plans, and providing farmers with various professional services through on-site services, the Internet and mobile communication networks.
In late January this year, the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture successfully held the "China Beautiful Countryside Expo" in Beijing. At the expo site, the National Agricultural Science and Technology Service Cloud Platform was officially launched. From the very first day of its birth, the cloud platform has had an indissoluble bond with beautiful countryside. As China's economic development enters the "new normal", the development and construction of beautiful countryside also presents new trends and normalized characteristics. The cloud platform is actively integrating resources to create solutions serving the construction of beautiful countryside. For China to be beautiful, rural areas must be beautiful. The National Agricultural Science and Technology Service Cloud Platform helps beautiful countryside, spreads beautiful countryside, and makes beautiful countryside a guaranteed supply support platform for agricultural product demand, a production, experience and delivery platform for safe and high-quality agricultural products, a landing platform for college students, migrant workers and urban residents returning to their hometowns to start businesses, and a livable platform for the general public's leisure and new professional farmers.
