National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on February 25 and April 14, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” on April 14 was 204.89, up 0.13 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 206.71, unchanged from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in national agricultural products wholesale markets was 17.59 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 159.07), up 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef was 53.99 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday;

Mutton was 52.08 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Eggs were 7.53 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday; dressed chicken was 15.08 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 4.05 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 222.37), up 0.5% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 6.16 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.71 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Common carp was 12.97 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 6.95 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.62 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday, the top five in price increase were: oyster mushroom, Kyoho grape, shiitake mushroom, yardlong bean and Welsh onion, with increases of 4.1%, 3.7%, 3.1%, 2.6% and 2.3% respectively; the top five in price decrease were: pumpkin, pineapple, zucchini, white radish and orange, with decreases of 3.2%, 2.7%, 2.7%, 2.1% and 1.9% respectively.
