Early rice seedling cultivation basically completed, national grain production achieves a good start

According to the agricultural situation monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, 35% of the intended spring sowing crop area has been sown nationwide with various crops, a pace comparable to the same period last year. At present, early rice seedling cultivation is basically completed nationwide, with 79.0% of the intended early rice area already transplanted, a slightly slower pace.

Data for the first quarter of this year show that after grain production surpassed the 1.2 trillion jin mark for two consecutive years and farmers' income growth exceeded that of urban residents for 5 consecutive years, the development momentum of China's agriculture and rural economy remains undiminished. At present, the biggest highlight of the agriculture and rural economy is the “good start” achieved in grain production, with expanded spring sowing area and good growth of summer grain.
