To supervise spring plowing and summer grain production, the Ministry of Agriculture sent 6 supervision teams to 12 provinces

At present, winter wheat in the north is successively heading and flowering, entering the critical period of yield formation, and spring plowing and spring sowing across the country have also entered their peak. In order to further implement the spirit of the national spring agricultural production and forest and grassland fire prevention work conference, increase work efforts, strengthen guidance services, go all out to win a bumper summer grain harvest, and complete the spring sowing task to high standards and with high quality, the Ministry of Agriculture on May 4 sent 6 supervision teams led by department and bureau-level leaders to 12 provinces in the winter wheat region, early rice production areas and the Northeast region to carry out supervision of summer grain and spring plowing production and ensure that all measures are put into practice.

The supervision teams will go into villages and households, go deep into the fields, and supervise and guide the implementation of policies and measures.

First, vigorously grasp policy implementation and strive to take the initiative. Go deep into the front line of production, investigate and understand the implementation of the state“four subsidies” policy, wheat“one spray and three preventions”, centralized rice seedling raising, and major pest and disease control and other key technical subsidy funds, urge local governments to allocate funds as soon as possible, ensure that technical measures are applied to the fields, do not miss the farming season, and strive to take the initiative.

Second, vigorously grasp classified guidance to win a bumper harvest. Together with local agricultural technicians, inspect the growth of summer grain on the ground, formulate and improve technical plans for field management in the middle and late stages of summer grain, guide farmers to strengthen classified management according to time, soil moisture and seedlings, scientifically regulate fertilizer and water, strengthen pest and disease prevention and control, and go all out to win a bumper summer grain harvest.

Third, vigorously grasp timely sowing to ensure area. Guide all localities to give full play to the role of agricultural machinery, seize the farming season, sow and transplant quickly, speed up sowing progress, ensure timely sowing, and ensure stable area. In particular, strengthen information guidance, optimize and adjust the planting structure, carry out pilot projects for replacing grain with feed and grain-soybean rotation, quickly refine plans, and implement them to households and fields as soon as possible.

Fourth, vigorously grasp technology implementation to improve quality. Guide all localities to grasp key links, strengthen technical guidance, implement key technologies such as deep loosening and land preparation, rice greenhouse seedling raising, seed coating, corn ridge planting, drought-resistant“water-sitting sowing”, and mechanical precision sowing, improve sowing quality, and ensure full seedlings in one sowing.
