Soybean procurement progress in main producing areas as of April 30 is far below the same period last year

According to statistics, as of April 30, grain enterprises of various types in 14 main mid-to-late indica rice producing areas including Hubei and Anhui had purchased a cumulative total of 28.21 million tons of newly harvested mid-to-late indica rice, a decrease of 1.52 million tons from the same period the previous year; grain enterprises of various types in 7 main japonica rice producing areas including Heilongjiang and Jiangsu had purchased a cumulative total of 39.84 million tons of newly harvested japonica rice, an increase of 6.82 million tons from the same period the previous year;

Grain enterprises of various types in 5 main soybean producing areas including Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang had purchased a cumulative total of 2.13 million tons of newly harvested soybeans, a decrease of 3.4 million tons from the same period the previous year; grain enterprises of various types in 11 main corn producing areas including Heilongjiang and Jilin had purchased a cumulative total of 130.46 million tons of newly harvested corn, an increase of 14.44 million tons from the same period the previous year.
