Autumn grain purchase basically completed, with a national cumulative total of 200.64 million tons purchased

According to the latest statistics released by the State Administration of Grain, the nationwide autumn grain purchase is now basically completed. As of April 30, grain enterprises of all types across the country had purchased a cumulative total of 200.64 million tons of autumn grain.

It is understood that in 14 major mid-to-late indica rice producing areas including Hubei and Anhui, grain enterprises of all types purchased a cumulative total of 28.21 million tons of newly produced mid-to-late indica rice, a decrease of 1.52 million tons compared with the same period last year; in 7 major japonica rice producing areas including Heilongjiang and Jiangsu, grain enterprises of all types purchased a cumulative total of 39.84 million tons of newly produced japonica rice, an increase of 6.82 million tons compared with the same period last year; in 11 major corn producing areas including Heilongjiang and Jilin, grain enterprises of all types purchased a cumulative total of 130.46 million tons of newly produced corn, an increase of 14.44 million tons compared with the same period last year; in 5 major soybean producing areas including Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang, grain enterprises of all types purchased a cumulative total of 2.13 million tons of newly produced soybeans, a decrease of 3.40 million tons compared with the same period last year.
