Price changes of the National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on May 7, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on May 7 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 199.29, down 1.45 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 199.73, down 1.77 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 18.54 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 162.44), up 0.3% from yesterday;

Beef was 53.96 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Mutton was 49.65 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs were 7.46 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 14.97 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.52 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 194.16), down 1.4% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 6.43 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.64 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Common carp was 13.33 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 7.02 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.65 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties in the key monitoring of the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: oyster mushroom, mandarin orange, Chinese chives, spinach and shiitake mushroom, with increases of 2.3%, 1.8%, 1.7%, 1.2% and 1.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cabbage, rapeseed greens, celtuce, napa cabbage and green pepper, with decreases of 8.1%, 7.0%, 6.8%, 5.9% and 4.4% respectively.
