200 e-commerce model counties to be developed in rural areas within two years
The Ministry of Commerce issued the "Internet Plus Distribution" Action Plan on the 15th, which will innovate distribution methods in rural e-commerce, online-offline integration and cross-border e-commerce, unleash consumption potential, and solve the "last kilometer" and "last 100 meters" problems of e-commerce.
Shen Danyang, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, said at a regular press conference held on the 15th that the plan will focus on deep-seated problems in the development of "Internet Plus Distribution" and optimize the development environment through measures such as improving policies, regulations and standards, optimizing logistics infrastructure, enhancing network service capacity, strengthening statistical monitoring and intellectual property protection, and carrying out talent training.
The action plan proposes that within the next 1 to 2 years, 200 comprehensive demonstration counties for e-commerce entering rural areas will be developed, 60 national-level e-commerce demonstration bases will be created, 150 national-level e-commerce demonstration enterprises will be developed, the construction of 100 overseas e-commerce warehouses will be promoted, and guidance will be given to local areas to build 50 e-commerce talent training bases.
Shen Danyang stressed that this plan will strive to solve two bottleneck problems in "Internet Plus Distribution." First, it will solve the "last kilometer" problem of e-commerce, such as actively developing e-commerce in small and medium-sized cities and rural areas, improving infrastructure such as express delivery, logistics and warehousing, and at the same time encouraging e-commerce enterprises to go global and build overseas logistics systems through the construction of overseas warehouses; second, it will break the "last 100 meters" bottleneck of e-commerce, such as encouraging e-commerce to enter communities, promoting online-offline interaction, and innovating ways to serve people's livelihoods.
It is understood that this is an important measure by the Ministry of Commerce to actively respond to the relevant arrangements and requirements of the State Council and promote the deep integration of the Internet and the distribution industry. This move will promote the transformation and upgrading of the distribution industry and give full play to the role of e-commerce in unleashing consumption potential, stimulating industry vitality and increasing employment opportunities.
