According to a sample survey of 5 counties (cities) in Heilongjiang Province, the grain-planting intentions of surveyed households showed a "two increases and one decrease" trend, namely an increase in rice, an increase in corn, and a decrease in soybeans, with soybeans down 13.9% among surveyed households.

The reasons include the following aspects: First, rice and corn still have an efficiency advantage. In 2014, the average net income per mu of rice, corn, and soybeans was 382.55 yuan/mu, 290.04 yuan/mu, and 56.90 yuan/mu respectively, and farmers' enthusiasm for planting rice and corn remained very high. Second, the soybean subsidy price did not meet farmers' expectations. In 2014, the soybean target price subsidy standard in Heilongjiang was 60.50 yuan/mu, and the income from planting soybeans remained relatively low, so farmers' willingness to plant soybeans was not strong, and they hoped to raise the target price to above 2.70 yuan/jin.
