On May 15, the Agricultural Machinery Extension Station of the Ministry of Agriculture held a training course on full-process mechanization technology for major crop production in Changsha, Hunan Province, and at the same time launched work to assess losses under various rapeseed harvest methods. Nearly 100 people participated in the training, including relevant responsible officials and technical backbones of the full-process mechanization demonstration projects from provincial (regional, municipal) agricultural mechanization authorities and extension institutions across the country.

⟦NL> The training course organized operational training in mechanized combine harvesting, drying, field tillage and preparation, unmanned plant protection aircraft, and mechanized production operations such as straw crushing and returning to the field and fertilizer production, and gave special lectures on the content of application and implementation management of full-process mechanization demonstration projects for major crop production, full-process mechanization production models, project management software operation, and project performance management content and assessment indicators.

The Agricultural Machinery Extension Station of the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, the Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Nanjing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of the Ministry of Agriculture and other units, launched comparative testing activities on losses from manual rapeseed harvesting, mechanized segmented harvesting, and mechanized combine harvesting in major winter rapeseed production areas such as Hunan, Hubei, Anhui and Jiangsu. The purpose was to ascertain the actual losses of current various rapeseed harvest methods, guide the research and development of advanced and applicable rapeseed harvesting machinery, accelerate the promotion and application of rapeseed harvest mechanization technology, and promote the stable development of oilseed crops.

A relevant responsible official of the Agricultural Mechanization Department of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized at the training course that agricultural mechanization authorities at all levels should take the full-process mechanization demonstration projects for major crop production as an important lever for carrying out the full-process mechanization promotion action, explore and form full-process mechanization production models through integrated demonstrations of practical mechanization technologies, cultivate and develop large-scale operating producers and agricultural machinery socialized service organizations, continuously expand the scale of full-process mechanized production, strive to improve the level of full-process mechanization in major crop production, and make due contributions to transforming the agricultural development mode and building modern agriculture.

The training course required that agricultural machinery extension institutions at all levels give full play to their advantages in technology, talent and the system, actively carry out comparative technical trials for major links, explore full-process mechanization production process routes, technical models, machinery matching, operating procedures and operating mechanisms suitable for different crops and different regions, actively cooperate with agricultural mechanization authorities to seriously organize and implement full-process mechanization projects for major crop production, and do a good job in refining, implementing and assessing various work indicators in accordance with the requirements of project performance management, so as to ensure that project implementation achieves outstanding results and provide technical support for the Ministry of Agriculture's action to promote full-process mechanization in major crop production.
