Learning from Jirigala's Advanced Deeds and Practicing the "Three Stricts and Three Honests" Requirements

The meeting emphasized that learning from Jirigala's advanced deeds should be combined with practicing the “Three Stricts and Three Honests” requirements, so as to keep the Party in mind and not forget its grace, keep the people in mind and not forget one's roots, keep responsibility in mind and not slacken, and keep discipline in mind and not act recklessly, thereby making positive contributions to further promoting the development of grassland supervision and advancing ecological civilization construction.
On April 22, 2015, a grassland fire broke out in Gaorihan Town, West Ujimqin Banner, Inner Mongolia. Jirigala, director of the banner's Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, rushed to the scene at the first opportunity to protect the lives and property of herdsmen to the greatest extent and threw himself into the fierce firefighting battle. Because the wind was strong and the fire fierce, and the wind direction suddenly changed, while covering the firefighters' evacuation, he was unfortunately engulfed by the flames and gave his young life.
⟦NL> During the 4 years when Comrade Jirigala served as mayor of Gaorihan Town, he visited all 1,400 herdsmen households in the town. In order to improve the town's sanitation, he often organized cadres, staff and gacha herdsmen to concentrate on cleaning up garbage, improving the herdsmen's living conditions; built the cement road from the town seat to Gaorihan Reservoir, and carried out street surface hardening projects in the town seat and Hudenuoer Gacha; built 62 sheds and pens for poverty alleviation and other purposes, 149 motor-pumped wells, 2 standardized clinics, and 4 gacha activity rooms; and opened sand and gravel roads and low-water bridges at river crossings in all 9 gachas; he also installed 22 street lamps on the streets of the town seat, ending the history of many years in which the seat of Gaorihan Town had no street lamps and people groped in the dark. In the eyes of his colleagues, Jirigala was a good cadre who set an example. He often took the initiative to shoulder the unit's most difficult and arduous tasks. Whether visiting herdsmen households, conducting investigations and research, or carrying out project construction and disaster relief and resistance, he always took the lead personally. In the short 20-plus days when he served as director of the banner Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, he put forward specific implementation suggestions for the development of the whole banner's animal husbandry industrialization and infrastructure construction.
On the second day after Jirigala's heroic sacrifice, the Communist Party of China West Ujimqin Banner Committee posthumously awarded Jirigala the title of “Outstanding Member of the Communist Party of China.” He was praised by the masses as a model in practicing the “Three Stricts and Three Honests.”
At the learning meeting, everyone was moved by Jirigala's heroic spirit of dedication and spoke enthusiastically; some comrades shed tears of emotion. Everyone expressed that they should take Comrade Jirigala as an example, learn from his political qualities of firm conviction and loyalty to duty, learn from his heroic spirit of loyalty to the Party's cause, always remembering his sacred responsibilities, and disregarding life and death, learn from his enterprising spirit of loving his post and striving for perfection, and learn from his noble character of being modest and strictly self-disciplined. In the future, under the inspiration of Comrade Jirigala's spirit, they will work hard and earnestly practice the “Three Stricts and Three Honests” requirements, intensify grassland supervision work, and further promote the development of grassland protection and construction.
