2021 spring tea is coming onto the market one after another. This year, due to water shortages reducing output plus the impact of the epidemic, it is reported that some tea farmers have suffered no small blow! By contrast, tea farmer Xu Ruilin from Qilai Mountain has not been affected at all, because he had long ago prepared a secret weapon - "professional refrigeration equipment" - so that many customers, upon the first sip of his tea, feel as if they are in the primeval forest of Qilai Mountain, sensing the fresh sweetness of the tea leaves from the tip of the tongue to the taste buds.

"The mountain behind my tea garden is Nenggao Mountain; the mountain opposite is the Qilai Mountain Range. Here, the cold winds of three great mountain ranges - Qilai, Nenggao, and Hehuan - converge." Xu Ruilin continued: "Because the Qilai tea area is relatively new compared with Shanlinxi and Alishan, the soil is rich in organic matter, and the tea made from it naturally has a special high-mountain tea aroma."
Precisely because he knows how good Qilai Mountain is, Xu Ruilin thought about how to perfectly deliver the freshest flavor from the mountain into consumers' hands. So he made a decision: at his own warehouse at the foot of the mountain in Changhua, he spent over a million to bring in experts to design a 30-ping tea refrigeration cabinet. In this way, not only can humidity be controlled, but the temperature can also be set at a constant 0-5 degrees, fully preserving the flavor of the high-mountain tea.
"My tea represents me as a person. If it is not made well, how would I dare sell it to people? That would only bring shame!" Qilai Mountain tea farmer Xu Ruilin was originally an organic fertilizer merchant. Through a chance turn of events, he began growing tea and then fell in love with tea. Although nearly fifty years old, he even passed the exam to enter the Tea Department of Tatung Institute of Technology for further study. His love and passion for tea are beyond that of ordinary people. "I am different from ordinary tea farmers. Others look at the leaves when growing tea; I place the greatest importance on the roots, the soil, and the nutrients of the tea." Xu Ruilin stated that his fertilization method is to apply small amounts many times, giving different fertilizers according to different climate conditions and the growth status of the tea plants.
⟦NL>⟧ Also because of his dedication plus non-toxic cultivation, Xu Ruilin has made a name for himself in major competition venues in recent years. Not only did he win the special prize and multiple first prizes in the Taichung Tea Merchants Association competition tea; he also repeatedly won the highest three-star honor in the international taste evaluation in Belgium, and even won first place in the high-mountain oolong group in the Cross-Strait Famous Tea Invitational Competition.
"A good cup of tea is not easily obtained, so I must work harder than ordinary tea farmers." In pursuit of perfect tea, Xu Ruilin, from root to leaf, from tea garden to tea table, is willing to spare no cost to achieve good tea in every detail. That is Xu Ruilin.
