This website news On May 19-20, the Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture held a training class on the application technology of the National Veterinary Drug Product Traceability System in Yinchuan City, Ningxia.
The reporter learned that the Ministry of Agriculture implements national veterinary drug product traceability management, aiming to effectively improve the quality of veterinary drug products, precisely crack down on illegal veterinary drug practices, and effectively address the problem of veterinary drug residues in animal-derived foods through full-process traceable supervision over the production, operation and use of veterinary drugs. The National Veterinary Drug Product Traceability System, with “QR code” identification technology at its core, has been generally welcomed by local veterinary drug regulatory departments, the vast number of veterinary drug enterprises and breeders since it began operation in early 2014. It is understood that through this system, veterinary drug regulatory departments can conveniently and quickly handle quality information fed back from all links of veterinary drug production, operation and use, trace the source of veterinary drug production, adopt more targeted monitoring measures, and ensure that regulatory work is timely and effective. Veterinary drug production enterprises can comprehensively improve their sense of responsibility, quality awareness and integrity awareness, improve their product quality assurance capabilities, and actively safeguard their corporate reputation. Veterinary drug operating enterprises can well implement the incoming goods inspection system and ensure the legality of veterinary drugs in the circulation market. The vast number of consumers can, through a smartphone client, scan the veterinary drug QR code to promptly grasp the product source, enhance their ability to identify veterinary drugs, and safeguard their own lawful rights and interests.
During the training, relevant personnel from the Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, the China Institute of Veterinary Drug Control and a technology company explained technical content such as the use process of the traceability system, “QR code” printing, and “QR code” data collection and uploading, and answered questions raised by the trainees on site. More than 60 persons in charge and technical personnel of veterinary drug production enterprises from 6 provinces including Hainan, Yunnan, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang participated in the training.
