During the pandemic, demand for people cooking at home surged greatly. The Hsinchu City Farmers' Association will launch organic vegetable boxes on the 2nd, offering advance orders to the public, and delivery to the home is available for orders of 10 boxes or more. Farmers' Association Director-General Chung Hsiang-ming pointed out that fruits and vegetables from local small farmers sell out as soon as they are stocked and cannot be combined into vegetable boxes. This time, the association is cooperating with the Longtan District Farmers' Association in Taoyuan to launch organic vegetable boxes at discounted prices, giving families in Hsinchu City a convenient choice.

Currently, traditional markets in Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli are implementing odd-even分流 based on the last digit of ID card numbers, and the city government is also encouraging the public to buy quickly, leave quickly and buy everything in one trip. Several vendors at the Hsinchu Fruit and Vegetable Market have also begun, after repeated inquiries from the public, to put together customized fruit and vegetable boxes for customers and take orders on Facebook social platforms or messaging apps.

To reduce opportunities for crowding, the Hsinchu City Farmers' Association will also launch organic vegetable boxes for group buying by the public. Chung Hsiang-ming pointed out that vegetables from local small farmers in Hsinchu City are not enough to supply group buying and are often sold out as soon as they are stocked at the Farmers' Association. In order to put together vegetable boxes, the Hsinchu City Farmers' Association approached other branch farmers' associations, where vegetable supply was also quite tight, and ultimately finalized a cooperation with the Longtan District Farmers' Association.

"Let the Farmers' Association help." Chung Hsiang-ming said this is the first time the Farmers' Association has launched organic vegetable boxes and that online ordering will be opened. At present, it is expected that delivery can be provided once 10 boxes are accumulated, and residents of buildings or communities are welcome to make group purchases. If small families want to buy on their own, the Farmers' Association has a total of 9 offices in Hsinchu City including the main office, all of which can be visited for purchases.

Chung Hsiang-ming said that once the made-to-order organic vegetable boxes accumulate to a certain quantity, the Longtan District Farmers' Association will be notified to ship them. The contents of the vegetable boxes change every day and will be sold at a discounted price that offers excellent value.
