May 25, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Week-on-Week

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on May 25 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 199.44, up 0.67 points from last Friday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 199.95, up 0.84 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 19.19 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 164.80), up 0.3% from last Friday;

Beef 53.83 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from last Friday;

Mutton 49.24 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from last Friday;

Eggs 7.37 yuan/kg, flat compared with last Friday;

Dressed chicken 14.68 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.34 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 190.45), up 1.2% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.62 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.23 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from last Friday;

Common carp 13.72 yuan/kg, up 1.6% from last Friday;

Silver carp 7.15 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail 28.24 yuan/kg, up 0.9% from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh agricultural products monitored at domestic wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with last Friday were: zucchini, lettuce, cabbage, spinach and celtuce, with increases of 9.0%, 7.2%, 6.6%, 5.2% and 5.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: tomatoes, oyster mushrooms, watermelon, Fuji apples and garlic, with decreases of 4.0%, 2.6%, 1.9%, 1.1% and 1.0% respectively.
