General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture issues the 2015 High-Yield Livestock Plan for the Agricultural Reclamation System

To the agricultural reclamation authorities of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and the Agriculture Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:

To implement the deployment requirements of the 2015 No. 1 Central Document on “building the agricultural reclamation system into an important agricultural product production base and a demonstration and driving force for modern agriculture”, further promote the healthy development of advantageous livestock industries in the agricultural reclamation system, give full play to the demonstrative and leading role of agricultural reclamation in the construction of a new type of agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics, and accelerate the implementation of the agricultural reclamation “Three Linkages” strategy and the plan to cultivate international grain merchants in agricultural reclamation, this year our Ministry will continue to carry out high-yield livestock research activities focusing on dairy cows and hogs in the agricultural reclamation system. After study, 146 high-yield livestock research units have been determined, including 87 high-yield dairy cow research units and 59 high-yield hog research units. The “2015 High-Yield Livestock Research Activity Plan for the Agricultural Reclamation System” (Attachment 1) is hereby issued to you. Please organize all high-yield research units (Attachment 2) to strengthen measures and vigorously implement them in accordance with the requirements of the activity plan, so as to ensure the smooth implementation of the research activities.
