23.645 billion yuan in agricultural machinery purchase subsidies allocated by the central government this year

The Ministry of Finance announced on the 30th that the central government has allocated 2.3645 billion yuan in agricultural machinery purchase subsidy funds to subsidize individuals directly engaged in agricultural production and agricultural production and operation organizations for the purchase and use of advanced and suitable agricultural machinery.

It is understood that this funding will focus on supporting the machinery needed for key links in the production of major crops such as grain, cotton, oil and sugar, while also taking into account the machinery needed for the development of animal husbandry, fisheries, protected agriculture, forestry and fruit growing, and the primary processing of agricultural products.

As of 2015, the central government had cumulatively allocated 143.507 billion yuan to support agricultural machinery purchase subsidies.

An official of the Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Finance emphasized that next, the central government will continuously adjust the expenditure structure, improve subsidy policies, and continue to support the work of agricultural machinery purchase subsidies.
