How can photovoltaic agriculture achieve sustained and healthy development?
Photovoltaic + agriculture is another major breakthrough in China's photovoltaic application field, and it is also a new model of modern agricultural development, gradually becoming a new investment hotspot. Just like all emerging things, photovoltaic agriculture has developed rapidly without sufficient support, so how can this industry achieve sustained and healthy development?
In this regard, Gao Xianggen, vice chairman of the China Photovoltaic Agriculture Working Committee and senior engineer, said that the formulation of standards for photovoltaic agriculture requires a batch of successful cases with differentiated models and regional differences; a mature practical community; repeatable and measurable data, replicable approaches, and operable measurement and calculation methods; a professional research and development team as an innovation driver; and a relatively complete policy system, among other things.
Because photovoltaic agriculture covers too wide a range, the standards for combining photovoltaics with agriculture should be formulated according to local sub-modules or branch models, such as fungal-photovoltaic, fishery-photovoltaic, livestock and poultry (pasture)-photovoltaic, which may be issued first.
Gao Xianggen believes that expecting comprehensive standards for photovoltaic agriculture to be issued in the short term does not conform to objective laws; continuous exploration is still needed, and a complete foundation is required. On the basis of demonstration bases, science and technology innovation platform construction, and talent cultivation, experience should be summarized to provide hardware and software support for the issuance of standards. But standards are certainly needed; classified guidance and experience summarization are required, and standards should be modular and refined when formulated. Although issuing standards is difficult, after accumulation there is still confidence in formulating them.
Speaking of the shortage of talent in the photovoltaic agriculture field, Gao Xianggen said that photovoltaic agriculture must have agriculture, this stable foundation, as support. If agricultural operations are unstable, photovoltaics will inevitably be affected. Therefore, agriculture must be taken as the foothold, and the primary and secondary must not be reversed. At present, there are indeed not many agricultural experts participating in photovoltaic agriculture, which shows that this emerging thing has not yet been widely recognized by the agricultural industry. Therefore, we not only need vigorous publicity, but also vigorous promotion. Only through practice can photovoltaic agriculture truly become hot in agriculture, and by then more and more agricultural experts will devote themselves to this field.
