Characteristics of the Golden Sun Cymbidium sinense Variety and Its Care Methods
"Golden Sun" is an excellent variety of Cymbidium sinense (Chinese orchid) that excels in both flowers and foliage (lotus-type variegated foliage). Its variegation begins as claw variegation (basic variegation), then progressively changes to golden rim variegation. In the past two years, it has begun to trend toward rim stripe variegation, blotched stripe variegation, medium blotch variegation with a small dark green cap, yellow-centered transparent variegation, and crown variegation, developing toward multiple variegation types. Some white claw and white stripe phenomena have also appeared.
