Manjianghong Cymbidium Lianbanlan: Variety Characteristics and Cultivation Methods
Manjianghong has leaves about 0.8 cm wide and about 36 cm long, with 5-8 leaves per plant. The leaf posture is semi-pendant. On most seedlings, leaf butterflies begin to appear once 4-6 leaves have grown, showing butterflies within the leaves or flowers within the leaves. The leaf buds and flower buds emerge with a red hemp color. On mature plants, the bract bases have bright, reticulated crystalline tissue. The flower is a typical formal three-heart butterfly type; the inner three petals emulsify into a pure white lip, with a red U shape on the lip. The outer three petals are large lotus-type petals with obvious green vein stripes and white edging, opening facing upward, with the flower covering the leaves. One scape bears 2-5 flowers. The traits are stable, and it blooms around the Spring Festival. The overall flower shape is dignified and elegant, noble and graceful, with a striking delicate fragrance, pleasing to the eye and simply breathtaking, with high ornamental value. It is truly a rare supreme-grade variety among the three-star butterflies of Cymbidium Lianbanlan.
