Xinxin Xiangyin is a Cymbidium lianpan variety, with elegant and free-flowing leaf posture, leaf length 30-50 cm; width 0.6-0.8 cm; leaf buds round and plump, with pink tips, very much like an onion; it blooms in early spring, bearing two to four flowers, held above the leaves; the petals are lotus-shaped, large flowers; its most distinctive feature is the striking heart-shaped red marking on the flower lip, extremely brilliant and eye-catching, like the inseparable pair of hearts strung on Cupid's arrow.

This plant was collected from the Nujiang Dam in 1997 (some say 1998), and passed through the hands of orchid-growing experts such as Ding Hua of Baoshan and Shichunyao of Dali, exchanged among them. Because its flowers are gorgeous and the heart-shaped red marking is endearing, it is deeply loved by orchid growers in various places. In Yunlong and other places, some orchid enthusiasts named it 'Guanyin Xianbao' or 'Caishen Xianbao', and Mr. Li Yinglong named it 'Baochai', but more orchid enthusiasts still recognize the name 'Xinxin Xiangyin'.
