In 1994, it was collected from Lishui, Zhejiang, selected by Lin Jie of Suichang County, Zhejiang, and later sold to Fang Yongjun for cultivation; Mr. Fang called it "Chuzhou Immortal." It is said that when it was collected there were two plants, one named "Red Lip Immortal" and the other named "Mutual Longing." At first, local orchid enthusiasts called it "Mutual Longing Immortal." New shoots are bright purplish red, leaves are 26-28 cm long, 1.2 cm wide, thick in texture, with deep "V"-shaped grooves on the surface, and the leaf color is dark green and glossy. The leaf posture is upright. The flower scape is slender, round and straight, about 15 cm tall, the flower stalk is purplish red, and the bracts are quicksilver red. The three outer sepals have long feet and round tips, contracted at the base and broad at the angles, the two lateral sepals form a straight horizontal shoulder, and each has a red stripe in the center. The petals form a short, round, soft pouch, with white edges at the tips of the petals. The lip resembles an apple, entirely red, very brilliant, with a pleasant delicate fragrance, filling the gap of the traditional Jiangsu-Zhejiang Cymbidium goeringii "all-red lip."
