Relying on local market and resource advantages, Beisanjia Township in Qingyuan County, Liaoning, actively takes cultivating and expanding the development scale of green and specialty agriculture as the focus of the township's agriculture and rural work. Centering on implementing the Dahuofang water source protection policy, it strengthens the construction of edible fungus zones and makes every effort to promote the development of the township's edible fungus industry. To do this income-boosting farmers' industry well, Beisanjia Township hires edible fungus experts to regularly carry out technical training and guidance; leads some mushroom farmers to other places for study visits, and organizes the township's skilled technicians and large-scale growers to hold discussions and exchanges so they can learn from each other's good experience and practices. In product sales, it actively visits other places to investigate sales markets, does a good job of industry publicity and introduction, brings in customers through multiple channels, broadens the sales market, raises farmers' enthusiasm for planting, cultivates new agricultural cooperative organizations, and promotes large-scale operation.

At present, the township has reached 7 specialized edible fungus production cooperatives, nearly 200 producing households, a development area of more than 500 mu, an annual output of up to 7,000-plus tons, and an annual output value of up to more than 50 million yuan. Edible fungi have become an income-boosting industry for the whole township.
