Cowpea Green Control Technology Training Session Successfully Held (Photos)

On January 22, 2016, the Cowpea Green Control Technology Training Session was successfully held at the Sanya Nanfan Science and Technology Research Institute.

This training session was co-hosted by the Sanya Municipal Agriculture Bureau and the Sanya Nanfan Science and Technology Research Institute. It was mainly held to address the occurrence and control of Fusarium wilt, root rot, thrips, and leafminers in cowpea production in Sanya.

The meeting invited well-known domestic vegetable experts: Researcher Hu Hong, Deputy Director of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Researcher Li Baoju, and Researcher Wu Qingjun, to give specialized training.

A total of 84 people attended this training session, including research and field frontline technical personnel from the agriculture and forestry bureaus of all districts of Sanya, the Sanya Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, the Sanya Agricultural Science and Technology 110 Service Station, the Institute of Plant Protection of the Hainan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Environment and Plant Protection Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, and the Sanya Nanfan Science and Technology Research Institute.
