Zandie Cymbidium goeringii: Variety Characteristics and Care Methods
Zandie, a Cymbidium goeringii variety with petaloid lateral sepals. The leaves are a mix of slanted-upright and slanted-arching, thick and hard in texture, with sharp pointed tips, coarse serrations along the leaf margins, and dark green color. The bud sheaths are greenish with a silvery-red tint and purple veins. The three outer petals of the flower have purple-red vein patterns; the main petal is upright, and the lower portions of the two lateral sepals are petaloid (lip-like), with the petal tips curling backward. The scissor-shaped column wings have deep purple-red vein patterns inside, and the large broad lip hangs down and curls back.
