Cymbidium ensifolium 'Penglai Shizi' Variety Characteristics and Appreciation

Flower name: Sijiyushi / Penglai Shizi, Origin: Taiwan, China

Content: A famous Taiwanese orchid oddity, with slender upright leaves, multiple columns and lips, and shrunken inner and outer petals (this is the main difference from the new variety 'Lishan Shiwang'); it is named for its resemblance to the Cymbidium sinense 'Yushizi', but because of the large volume of re-exports from Taiwan, the price has dropped to a low level, and I consider it an entry-level four-season odd-petal type.
